Superstar Rajnikanth's Kochadaiyan will be directed by Soundarya RajnikanthAshwin and assited by KS Ravikumar.EROS International along with Media One will act as the Production house. The film is slated forAugust 2012 release.

Wiki says, Kochadaiyan Ranadhiran (reigned 710-735) was a Pandyan king. He was the son and successor of Arikesari Maravarman.

Rajnikanth’s next film ‘Kochadaiyan’ – it’s official

After Enthiran: The Robot and before Raana, Superstar Rajnikanth’s next release will be a 3D film titled Kochaidaiyaan.

A press release issued by Rajnikanth’s media managers confirmed this today. “This is the first time that a 3D film with Performance capturing technology is being produced in India,” it said.

KS Ravikumar has written the story, screenplay, dialogue and is doing the direction supervision forKochadaiyaan. The film is directed by Soundarya Rajnikanth.

The movie is produced by Eros International and Media one Global entertainment Limited. The work is progressing in a fast pace and is scheduled for release in August 2012.
